WOMEN'S TENNIS PICKS UP WIN AT SPRING TENNIS FEST
Golden Rams Defeat Penn State-Harrisburg

HILTON HEAD, SC- The Albany State women's tennis team captured a 7-2 win over Penn State-Harrisburg Tuesday afternoon at the Spring Tennis Fest.
The Golden Rams took five of the six singles matches and two out of three of the doubles pairings.
Latoya Boyd earned her first singles victory of the season, 6-4, 6-1 over Sydney Nye while
Samantha Heard bested opponent Maria Torre also by a score of 6-4, 6-1. Darien Davis and
Jordan Foston also won their singles matches as did Lindsay Ashford who picked up her third win of the year in a tiebreaker.
Boyd and Heard defeated Nye and Courney Bennett in a close doubles match 9-8. The pairings of Davis/Alani Gaither defeated Sourya Chitibabu and Abby Clifford 8-3.With the win the Golden Rams move their record to 5-7 overall.
ASU will take on Roanoke College and Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday and will wrap the three day event on Thursday morning against Ashland University.
