Box Score WOMEN'S SOCCER SUFFERS 6-0 ROAD LOSS TO WEST FLORIDA

PENSACOLA, FL- West Florida University moved to 3-0 on the year with a 6-0 shutout of Albany State University Wednesday night at UWF Soccer Complex.
Savanna Soares scored on an assist from Shantell Thompson for the first goal of the game at the 30:29 mark. Soares then picked up another score, this one unassisted, and three minutes later Thompson picked up her second assist on a goal by Hannah Wooten. After amassing 20 shots in the first half, WFU held a 3-0 lead at the half.
After being shut out in scoring and attempts in the first half, the Lady Golden Rams faired a little better offensively in the second half with three shots at the net. However they found themselves on the defensive end much of the second stanza as West Florida racked up 16 more shot attempts, including 12 corner kicks.
UWF added three goals in the second half for the final point spread.
The Lady Golden Rams will give it another go on Saturday when they visit Thomas University (Ga.). Game time is scheduled for 2pm. Follow
