WOMEN'S SOCCER DROPS 5-0 DECISION TO KEISER UNIVERSITY

ALBANY, GA-The Albany State University women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 setback to Keiser University on Monday afternoon at West Campus Soccer Complex.

Ebba Gustafsson led the way for the Seahawks who move to 4-1-1 on the season.

Keiser's offensive attack kept the Lady Golden Rams on their heels most of the match. The Seahawks totaled 40 shot attempts including 23 on goal. ASU goalie Abby Whiteside did an honorable job with a season high 17 saves on the afternoon.

On the other side Albany State had a tough time on offense with only two shot attempts both of which came in the first half of play.

Keiser also held an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Lady Golden Rams, behind the net play of Whiteside played solid defense in the game's opening minutes. Eventually the scoreless tie was broken a little over 15 minutes into the first half on an assist from Tova Nilsson to Gustafsson. Keiser added to more goals for a 3-0 lead at the intermission.

Albany State will return to action on the road on September 20^th against Young Harris College. Game time is scheduled for 4:30pm.
