Albany State Football announces 2016 signees

ALBANY, Ga.- Albany State interim head football coach Dan Land has announced the program's 2016 signees.

"We have a large number of talented student-athletes who will join us this fall," Land said. "What is really impressive about this group is they are dedicated to the game of football, but they are also solid academicians in the classroom."

Five of the Albany State recruits are local products. One of the signees, wide receiver Jonari Greene, led Colquitt County High School to the Georgia High School Class AAAAAA championship in December.

"It's always a good thing when a college program can bring in student-athletes who came from winning programs where they are expected to work hard and make improvements toward winning championships," Land stated. "We are confident this group will help continue our success.
