Golden Rams finish second at SIAC championship

Rock Hill, S.C.- Despite some solid individual performances, the Albany State Golden Rams were unable to repeat as SIAC champions. ASU placed second behind Morehouse at the 2015 SIAC Men's Track & Field Championship.

Morehouse tallied 167 points for the men's title. Albany State finished second with 130 points, while Benedict was third with 126 points.

Jared Jordan, who earlier in the week was named the SIAC Track Runner of the Year, claimed the 100- and 200-meter dash championships. He recorded times of 10.75 and 21.16, respectively. Jordan also was the anchor for the 4x400-meter relay team that finished in third place.

SIAC Field Athlete of the Year Daniel Oduah also had a strong showing. The freshman from Covington, Georgia won the high jump title (2.00 meters) and finished second in the triple jump (14.01 meters).
