Lady Golden Rams Show Determination on Day 2 of SIAC Roundup

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Mobile, Ala. - The Albany State women's tennis team continued to show resilience and determination on Day 2 of the SIAC Women's Tennis Roundup #2 in Mobile, Ala., competing with energy and effort despite tough matchups against Clark Atlanta and Tuskegee.

In the opening match against Clark Atlanta, the Lady Golden Rams battled across the lineup, highlighted by strong singles performances from Monique Gundrum and Brooklyn Bowen. Both players secured impressive wins, showcasing composure and consistency while setting the tone for Albany State's competitive spirit. Their efforts reflected the team's ability to respond and compete at a high level against conference opponents.

The momentum carried into the second match of the day against Tuskegee, where Albany State delivered one of its most complete performances of the tournament. The Lady Golden Rams dominated doubles play, with the pairings of Gundrum and Bowen, Ameerah Mesidor and Le'Ashia Miller, and Autumn Bryant and Jada Conley all securing victories to give Albany State an early advantage.

In singles action, Albany State continued to shine. Gundrum and Bowen once again led the charge with strong showings, while Mesidor added another solid performance. Bryant and Conley were particularly dominant, each earning decisive wins to cap off a day that highlighted the team's depth and growth across the lineup.

Throughout the day, the Lady Golden Rams displayed improved chemistry in doubles, confidence in singles play, and a competitive edge that continues to develop as the season progresses. Their effort and execution against conference opponents reflect a team trending in the right direction.

Up next, Albany State returns for Day 3, where they will conclude the tournament and their season with a 9:00 a.m. matchup against Spring Hill.
