Albany, GA – The Albany State University women's tennis team is set to return to action on Wednesday, April 10, as they host Spring Hill College for a highly anticipated Senior Day match at the Courts at West Campus in Albany, GA. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
The Lady Golden Rams (11-6, 11-2 SIAC) enter the match riding high after an impressive showing at the SIAC Roundup #2, where they posted a dominant 5-1 record against conference opponents. The strong performance has solidified Albany State's position as a top contender heading into the final stretch of the season.
The Spring Hill College Lady Badgers (8-13, 8-5 SIAC), also performed well at the Roundup, finishing 4-2, and will look to carry that momentum into Wednesday's match. This will be a key conference matchup for both teams as postseason play nears.
The last meeting between the two programs came on March 22, when the Lady Golden Rams earned a decisive 5-2 victory over the Lady Badgers, showcasing a blend of strong doubles play and clutch singles performances. However, Spring Hill still holds the historical edge, leading the all-time series 14-7, dating back to April 5, 2013.
Wednesday's match will also serve as Senior Day, as the program honors the contributions, leadership, and achievements of its graduating student-athletes. These seniors have played an integral role in the success and growth of the tennis program and will be recognized before the start of the match.
