Golden Rams Travel to Atlanta for Crucial Conference Series Against Morehouse

Albany, GA – The Albany State Golden Rams baseball team is set to resume Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play with a pivotal three-game road series against the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers in Atlanta, Georgia, this weekend. The series will kick off with a single game on Friday, April 4 at 2:00 PM, followed by a Saturday, April 5 doubleheader beginning at noon.

The Golden Rams (17-17) enter the weekend looking to rebound after a midweek non-conference setback to Columbus State on April 2. Despite the loss, Albany State has been building momentum in conference play and will aim to get back on track against a familiar opponent.

Meanwhile, Morehouse (15-15) comes into the series riding high after a dominant sweep of Morris College on April 1. The Maroon Tigers will be looking to continue their win streak and make a statement at home.

Historically, Albany State has held a commanding advantage in the series, boasting a 33-2 record against Morehouse dating back to April 9, 2011. In their most recent meeting on April 6, 2024, the Golden Rams edged out a tight 6-5 win, completing a series sweep. The last time Albany State dropped a game to Morehouse was on April 10, 2023, but even then, the Rams managed to take the series.
