In a thrilling opening match, the Lady Golden Rams edged out Tuskegee University with a hard-fought 4-3 victory. The doubles competition set the tone early, with
Natalya Ogunwale and
Jenny Zapien earning a 6-3 win, while the duo of
Jonay Brittain and
Julie Tungamirai fought hard for a 7-6 victory, securing the crucial doubles point for ASU. Building on that momentum, Ogunwale, Zapien, and Tungamirai delivered clutch performances in singles play, each securing victories to seal the 4-3 triumph for the Golden Rams. Game 2: Albany State 5, Fort Valley State 2
