Atlanta, GA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has released its 2024-25 Men's and Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams, highlighting the top performers from across the league. The Albany State Golden Rams were well represented, with five players earning All-Conference honors.
Men's Basketball All-Conference Honors
Albany State's
Shakur Poteat and
Blaise Wallace were recognized for their outstanding seasons, while
Christian Gary earned a spot on the Freshman Team.
Poteat led the Golden Rams with his scoring and playmaking ability, while Wallace provided a strong presence in the paint. Gary made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season, earning a well-deserved spot among the conference's best freshmen.
Women's Basketball All-Conference Honors
Peterson played a crucial role on both ends of the court for the Lady Golden Rams, while Griffin emerged as a standout freshman, showcasing her potential throughout the season.

ABOUT ALBANY STATE ATHLETICS
Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently field teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football. All teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
