Albany, Ga. – Albany State University and the Department of Athletics will officially introduce the next chapter of Golden Rams basketball with an introductory press conference for Head Men's Basketball Coach
Rodney Mayes and Head Women's Basketball Coach
Todd Triplett on Thursday, April 16 at 9:00 a.m. in the Student Center, Building C, Room 252 on ASU's West Campus.
This moment reflects the continued momentum within Albany State Athletics, as both programs move forward with leadership focused on results, growth, and the total development of our student-athletes.
Coach Mayes brings a wealth of experience across multiple levels of basketball and a reputation for building programs, developing talent, and connecting with the community.
Coach Triplett, who led the Golden Rams through a strong season as interim head coach, has already established a foundation of accountability, belief, and consistency within the program.
The press conference will include remarks from both coaches, along with Albany State University President Dr. Robert O. Scott and Director of Athletics
Dr. Kristene Kelly.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program.
