The Lady Golden Rams (10-8, 7-4 SIAC) come into the weekend with momentum after a strong showing at the SIAC Crossover Tournament, where they finished 3-2. The team looks to continue its success at home and climb the conference standings against a formidable Edward Waters squad.
The Lady Tigers (17-13, 9-3 SIAC) also had an impressive outing at the SIAC Crossover, going 4-2. They enter the weekend as one of the top teams in the conference and will look to extend their winning form in Albany.
This matchup marks the first meeting between the two programs this season. Last year, the teams split their regular-season series, with Albany State securing a 1-0 victory on March 8 before falling 5-7 in a hard-fought battle on April 24. The Golden Rams will be eager to reclaim control of the series and defend their home field.
With both teams vying for positioning in the SIAC standings, this series carries significant weight. A strong performance from the Lady Golden Rams could propel them up the conference ranks and set the tone for the remainder of the season.
