Golden Rams Dominate in Game Three to Secure Series Win Over LeMoyne-Owen

Memphis, TN – The Albany State Golden Rams wrapped up their weekend series in commanding fashion, crushing LeMoyne-Owen 20-2 in Game 3 to secure a 2-1 series victory. With the win, Albany State improves to 11-6 overall and 7-2 in SIAC play, while LeMoyne-Owen drops to 6-9 overall and 1-8 in the conference.
 
The Golden Rams exploded offensively, posting 16 hits and 20 runs, while pitcher Brady Davis (2-1) delivered a dominant performance, striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings of work.
 
The Golden Rams set the tone early, with Corley blasting a two-run homer in the first inning to put ASU on top 2-0. Although LeMoyne-Owen answered with a solo home run from Sealie, Albany State quickly took control.
 
In the third inning, ASU put together a six-run outburst, highlighted by a Nathan Saavedra inside-the-park home run, extending the lead to 9-1. Saavedra had a monster game, going 4-for-5 with five RBIs, while Addison and Roberts each contributed three hits.
 
The Golden Rams didn't slow down, scoring three more runs in the fourth and delivering a knockout punch in the sixth inning with an eight-run explosion. Little's bases-clearing triple sealed the dominant victory as ASU closed out the game in just seven innings.
 
On the mound, Davis was locked in, allowing only six hits and two runs over 6.2 innings while racking up eight strikeouts.
