Box Score 4 Hoover, AL - The Albany State softball team put together a strong performance at the SIAC Crossover in Hoover, AL, finishing the tournament 3-2 and improving their overall record to 10-8 (7-4 SIAC). The Lady Golden Rams showcased their offensive firepower and resilience throughout the weekend, picking up key victories against LeMoyne-Owen, Miles, and Lane, while battling hard in a narrow loss to Spring Hill and falling to Tuskegee.

Day 1: Dominant Start Against LeMoyne-Owen, No Contest vs. Kentucky State
The Golden Rams kicked off the SIAC Crossover with a commanding 13-6 victory over LeMoyne-Owen. Albany State's offense erupted, with multiple players delivering key hits to put the game out of reach early. Strong base running and aggressive play at the plate helped the Lady Golden Rams take control and secure their first win of the tournament.

In their second game of the day against Kentucky State, the game was halted in the fourth inning due to unforeseen circumstances, resulting in a No Contest ruling.

Day 2: Split Results – Big Win Over Miles, Heartbreaker Against Spring Hill
Albany State opened Day 2 with another high-scoring performance, defeating Miles 12-6. The Lady Golden Rams' bats stayed hot as they put up runs in multiple innings, while the defense made key plays to keep Miles from mounting a serious comeback.

Later in the day, the Lady Golden Rams faced Spring Hill in a tightly contested battle, ultimately falling 5-6 in a thriller. Albany State fought hard and kept the game within reach, but a late push from Spring Hill secured the one-run victory.

Day 3: Tough Loss to Tuskegee, Strong Bounce Back Against Lane
The final day of competition started with a tough 0-8 loss to Tuskegee, as the Lady Golden Rams struggled to generate offense against a strong pitching performance from the Lady Golden Tigers. Despite solid defensive efforts, Tuskegee controlled the game from start to finish.

However, Albany State quickly rebounded in their final game of the tournament, dominating Lane 10-1. The Lady Golden Rams showcased their resilience, using explosive hitting and strong pitching to close out the crossover on a high note.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program.
