Bluffton, SC - The Albany State Golden Rams wrapped up their weekend series against USC Beaufort with a doubleheader split, securing a 15-10 victory in Game 2 before falling 13-6 in Game 3. With the series win, Albany State improves to 3-3 on the season, while USC Beaufort picks up its first win, dropping to 1-6 overall.
Game 2 - The Golden Rams staged an impressive offensive performance, overcoming an early six-run deficit to claim a 15-10 victory. Trailing 6-0 after two innings, Albany State chipped away with runs in the third, fourth, and fifth before exploding for an eight-run seventh inning to take control of the game. Nate Saavedra led the charge with a 4-for-5 performance, including a triple, while
Matt Delay and Trenton Justice each contributed multi-hit games. The bullpen stepped up as
Calvin Baker (2-0) earned the win, throwing four strong innings in relief while allowing just one earned run.
Game 3 – ASU saw a different outcome, as USC Beaufort's offense came alive early, plating six runs in the first two innings en route to a 13-6 win. Albany State struggled to keep pace despite a three-run home run from
Luke Addison in the seventh inning. The Golden Rams' pitching staff was unable to slow down the Sandsharks, who racked up 16 hits in the contest.
Brady Davis (0-1) took the loss for Albany State, surrendering six runs over three innings.

Despite the Game 3 loss, Albany State leaves the weekend with a 2-1 series victory and will look to carry their momentum into their next matchup. Up next, the Golden Rams return to Georgia to face Columbus State on Wednesday, February 12, in Columbus, GA.
