Albany, GA – Postseason basketball has arrived! The #3 seed Albany State Golden Rams are ready to kick off their SIAC Tournament run as they host the #6 seed Lane College Dragons in a highly anticipated first-round matchup on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 1 PM inside the West Campus Arena. With a chance to advance deeper into the tournament, the Golden Rams will look to protect home court and build momentum in front of their fans.
The Golden Rams (17-11, 14-7 SIAC) closed out the regular season strong, securing the #3 seed in the East, while Lane College (7-18, 7-13 SIAC) battled through a tough schedule to claim the #6 seed in the West.
The last meeting between these two teams was nothing short of a classic. On January 2, 2025, the Dragons pushed the Golden Rams to double overtime in a thrilling back-and-forth contest. Albany State ultimately prevailed 104-101, showcasing their resilience and ability to close out tight games. Fans can expect another intense battle as both teams fight for survival in the tournament.
