Albany, Ga. – The Albany State Golden Rams continued their dominance over Clark Atlanta University, securing a decisive 32–7 victory at the Albany State University Coliseum. With the win, the Golden Rams improved to 5–1 overall and 4–0 in SIAC play, extending their winning streak against the Panthers to five straight games and their all-time series lead to 44–7.

From the opening kickoff, Albany State set the tone with a balanced offensive attack and a relentless defense that controlled the tempo throughout the afternoon. Senior kicker Kyle Wright put the Rams on the board early with a 33-yard field goal, and quarterback Jaydon Kinney found Jamill Williams for a 16-yard touchdown to cap off a strong first half. Wright added another field goal before the break to make it 13–7 at halftime.

In the second half, the Rams' ground game took over. Running backs Tiant Wyche and Aljhanod Thomas combined for over 200 rushing yards, with Wyche punching in a 3-yard touchdown in the third quarter and Kinney adding a 1-yard quarterback sneak in the fourth. Roderick McCrary sealed the win with a late 4-yard touchdown run, bringing the final to 32–7.

Defensively, Albany State was dominant, holding the Panthers to just 76 rushing yards and forcing multiple turnovers. Chauncie Brown led the team with eight tackles, while Luke Rose grabbed an interception to highlight a defensive unit that pressured Clark Atlanta all game long. The Rams' front seven, anchored by Isaiah Morrison and D'Avary Weeks, recorded five tackles for loss and one sack, disrupting the Panther offense at every level.

On special teams, Wright went 2-for-2 on field goals and continued to provide strong kickoff coverage, while Cameron Watts added 29 yards on punt returns to keep the Rams in strong field position.

Head Coach Quinn Fordham Gray, Sr. praised his team's composure and execution, noting, "We played Golden Ram football—disciplined, physical, and focused. This is the kind of effort we'll need as we move deeper into conference play."

Up next, Albany State turns its attention to one of the most anticipated games of the season — Homecoming 2025 — as the Golden Rams welcome Tuskegee University to the Coliseum on Saturday, October 18, at 1:00 PM.
