Atlanta, GA – October 4, 2024 – The Albany State University women's cross-country team competed in the Georgia Tech XC Invitational on Friday morning, placing 22nd in a highly competitive field of 23 teams. The race, which was the Lady Golden Rams' first 6k event of the season, tested their endurance and mettle against some of the region's top programs.
Despite the challenging competition, the Lady Golden Rams gave a solid effort, with
Nathalia Rowe leading the team and finishing with a time of 25:35.3. The runners faced tough terrain and a fast-paced field, but their perseverance and teamwork helped them power through to the finish.
The Lady Golden Rams will now turn their focus to the upcoming Florida State XC Invitational, scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024. The race will take place at 8:25 a.m., providing another opportunity for the team to test themselves against strong competition and work toward improving their performance.
As the season continues, Albany State will be looking to build on its progress and grow as a team. The upcoming Florida State meet will be a key stepping stone as they prepare for the SIAC conference championships.
