TALLADEGA, AL – In their final non-conference matchup of the season, the Albany State University Lady Golden Rams fell to Talladega College in a competitive showdown at the Hawkins Student Activity Center on Monday, Oct. 28. With the loss, ASU moves to a 13-7 overall record, while the Lady Tornadoes improve to 22-7.
Despite a strong showing, the Lady Golden Rams couldn't overcome Talladega's momentum.
Jarianis Perez led ASU with 16 kills, followed closely by
Sydney Melton with 14 and
Kaylin Teasley with 10. The defensive front was anchored by
Shaniya Banks, who recorded six blocks, with Teasley and
Joy Robinson adding five and four blocks, respectively. Setter
Liannette Burgos facilitated the offense with 28 assists and led the team in digs alongside Melton with 13 apiece.

The Lady Golden Rams will look to bounce back as they return to conference play this weekend, facing Edward Waters on Friday, Nov. 1, and Savannah State on Saturday, Nov. 2.
