Lady Golden Rams Set for Conference Road Series Against Savannah State and Edward Waters

Albany, GA –  The Albany State Lady Golden Rams volleyball team will hit the road this weekend for two important conference matchups. The series begins on Friday, October 25, with a showdown against Savannah State at 6 p.m. inside Willcox Wiley Gymnasium in Savannah, GA. The weekend action wraps up on Saturday, October 26, when the Lady Golden Rams face off against Edward Waters at 2 p.m. in Jacksonville, FL.

In their last matchup with Savannah State, the Lady Golden Rams secured a 3-1 victory. Dating back to September 2, 2018, ASU holds a dominant 10-1 series record over the Lady Tigers. Savannah State's only win in the series came on September 20, 2022, adding extra motivation for both teams heading into Friday's game.

Against Edward Waters, ASU won their last meeting in a five-set thriller on October 31, 2023. Since Edward Waters rejoined the SIAC in 2021, the series has been tightly contested, with both teams tied at 3-3. Saturday's matchup will be an opportunity for the Lady Golden Rams to break that tie and continue their momentum through conference play.
