The Golden Rams Men's Basketball increase their streak to 2-game after defeating the Savannah State Tigers (49-48) at the Jones Brothers HPER Complex on Monday afternoon. 
 
The Golden Rams improved to (7-8) overall and (5-4) in the SIAC.  The Golden Rams improved to (7-4) at home.  The Tigers fell to (7-6) overall and (5-4) in the SIAC. 

Coach Gayle said after the game " We have to get better".

Two players scored in double figures for the Golden Rams.  Shakur Poteat finished with 13 points and 3 rebounds. Terin Wofford scored 10 points and 1 rebound. 
 
Ayjay Plain led the Tigers with 24 points. 

The Golden Rams Women's Basketball team were defeated by the Savannah State Tigers (46-54) at the Jones Brothers HPER Complex on Monday afternoon.
 
The Golden Rams season record now stands at (2-15) overall and (2-7) in the SIAC. The Tigers move to (10-3) overall and (7-2) in the SIAC. 
 
A total of 2 players scored in double figures for the Golden Rams. 

 Elisa Saffold scored 15 points and 3 rebounds.  Johanna Bell contributed with 12 points. 
 
Amari Heard led the Tigers with 20 points.  Nyla Allen also finished with 16 points.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action this weekend as they go on the road against Benedict College on January 20th with games at 1pm for the Women and 4 pm for the Men.
