The Albany State Golden Rams women's volleyball team will open the 2023 season by participating in the 2023 Georgia College Tournament.  The tournament will be on September 1-2, in Milledgeville, Georgia.
 
The Golden Rams were picked to finish #2 in the Eastern Division in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).  The Golden Rams Khamari Trotter, middle hitter, was named to the preseason First Team All-Conference.  Sydney Melton, outside hitter, was named to the Second Team.
 
"I feel good about this season. I have a good group of girls who have been working very hard this preseason.  I'm just ready to see all their hard work pay off," said Verniece Graham.
 
On September 1, the Golden Rams will play Young Harris College at 12:00 noon.  In game 2, the Golden Rams will play the host team, Georgia College, at 4:00 pm.
 
On September 2, the Golden Rams will play Southern Wesleyan University at 11:00 am.  At 3:00 pm, the Golden Rams will play the University of West Georgia.
