The Albany State Golden Rams softball team defeated the Trinity Baptist College Eagles in their final regular season games on Monday evening. With the 2 wins, the Golden Rams improved to (25-14) overall. The Eagles fell to (6-33).
In game #1, the Golden Rams won (9-0). The Golden Rams had 10 hits and played an error free game against the Eagles.
Madison Hurt, Romona McLeod,
Glory Seay and De'Laynie Hollis all had 2 hits each for the Golden Rams.
Romona McLeod led the Golden Rams with 3 RBIs.
Kylie Barnett improved to (3-0) after pitching 5 scoreless innings and only allowing 3 hits.
In game #2, the Golden Rams came from behind to defeat the Eagles (11-6).
The Golden Rams finished with 20 hits against the Eagles. Romona McLeod finished 4/5 from the plate.
Glory Seay went 3/4 from the plate and had 4 RBIs.
Madison Hurt and Ty'Janae Brown also finished with 3 hits each for the Golden Rams.
Madison Hurt, Brielle Thompson, Romona McLeod and Trista Murphy all stole a base against the Eagles.
Romona McLeod earned the win for the Golden Rams. McLeod improved to (7-3) after pitching 4 innings in relief.
This was the Golden Rams final regular season games until the SIAC Tournament on May 2-4.
