The Golden Rams softball team has now won 7 games in a row after sweeping the Savannah State Tigers in a double header on Saturday in Savannah, Georgia.  With the 2 wins, the Golden Rams improved to (13-6) overall and (6-0) in the SIAC while the Tigers fell to (3-5) overall and (3-3) in the conference. 
 
In game 1, the Golden Rams defeated the Tigers (11-9).  The Golden Rams exploded for a total of 4-runs in the top of the 4^th inning to take a commanding (6-1) lead.  Romona McLeod and Morgan Brown hit singles in the inning that scored the 4 runs for the Golden Rams.
 
The Golden Rams scored 4 more runs in the top of the 7^th inning to secure the win.  Ty'janae Russell, Jasmine Russell and Romona McLeod hit singles in the inning to produce runs.  Madison Hurt hit a sacrifice bunt to the pitcher that also scored a run in the inning.
 
Mackenzie Chamblee was the winning pitcher for the Golden Rams.  Mackenzie pitched 4 innings and allowed 6 hits and 3 earned runs.
 
In game 2, the Golden Rams won (13-8).  The Golden Rams scored 10 runs in the first 3 innings.  The Golden Rams finished with 24 hits in the game. 
 
Madison Hurt had 4 hits for the Golden Rams.  Romona McLeod, Glory Seay and Trista Murphy had 3 hits each in the game.  De'laynie Hollis, Jasmine Russell and Ty'janae Brown had 2 hits.  Kamari Morrow, Morgan Brown, Adrica Bellamy, Kylie Barnett and Brielle Thompson had a hit in the game.
 
Romona McLeod earned the win for the Golden Rams.  McLeod pitched 4 innings and didn't allow any earned runs.
