The Albany State Golden Rams baseball team earned their first win of the season after defeating the Auburn University at Montgomery War Hawks (7-0) on Thursday afternoon. The Golden Rams improved to (1-1) while the War Hawks fell to (1-4).
In the 1
st inning,
Lavoisier Fisher hit a 2-run homer to give the Golden Rams a (2-0) lead. The Golden Rams extended the lead to (3-0) when
Tucker Jordan drew a walk with the bases loaded.
The Golden Rams scored again in the 3
rd inning when Austin Robert hit a sacrifice fly to left field that scored Nate Lloyd. Johnathan Logsdon drew a walk with the bases loaded to give the Golden Rams a (5-0) lead.
In the 6
th inning,
Luke Addison scored on an error to extend the lead to (6-0). The Golden Rams scored their 7
th run in the game when
Chase Karn was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Jeremiah Reddell earned his 1
st win of the season. Reddell pitched 6 scoreless innings for the Golden Rams.
