The Albany State Golden Rams softball team split with the Georgia College Bobcats in a double header on Wednesday evening in Milledgeville, Georgia. The Golden Rams are now (3-3) on the season while the Bobcats are (4-2).
In game 1, the Golden Rams won (2-1). The Golden Rams scored 2-runs in the top of the 7
th to win it in comeback fashion. Brielle Thompson scored on a throwing error to tie the game (1-1). Tylar Jackson's single allowed Ty'janae Brown to score the winning run for the Golden Rams.
Romona McLeod pitched 7 innings to earn the win for the Golden Rams. McLeod improved to (2-0) on the season.
In the second game of the double header, the Bobcats won (9-1). The Golden Rams were limited to 1-run and 4 hits in the game. The Golden Rams only run occurred in the 4
th inning when
Glory Seay scored on a Bobcats throwing error.
Mackenzie Chamblee pitched 4 innings for the Golden Rams. Chamblee is now (1-2) on the season.
The Golden Rams will host Paine College for a double header beginning at 12:00 noon on the ASU West Campus on Monday, February 13.
