The Albany State Golden Rams men and women's basketball teams will travel to Columbia, South Carolina, to play Allen University and Benedict College in huge games that will be vital in the SIAC Eastern Division standings.
The Golden Rams men are currently (7-15) overall and (7-9) in the SIAC while the women are (6-14) overall and (4-10) in the conference.
The Golden Rams will begin the 2-game road trip by playing the Allen University Yellow Jackets on Saturday, February 4. The women will play at 1:00 pm and the men will follow at approximately 3:00 pm.
The Yellow Jackets men are currently (3-18) overall and (3-13) in the SIAC while the women are (11-9) overall and (7-8) in the conference.
The Golden Rams will play the Benedict College Tigers on Monday, February 6. The women will play at 5:30 pm and the men will follow at approximately 7:30 pm.
The Tigers men are currently (13-8) overall and (11-5) in the SIAC while the women are (9-12) overall and (7-8) in the conference.
Malik Parker is averaging 10.8 points and 2.2 rebounds for the Golden Rams.
Maurice Dickson is averaging 10.2 points and 7 rebounds per game.
Kashay Hankerson is averaging 12.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game to lead the Golden Rams women's team while
Juanisha Black is averaging 8.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
