The Albany State Golden Rams baseball team defeated the Thomas University Night Hawks (10-6) on Wednesday evening at the ASU West Campus. With the win, the Golden Rams improved to (5-2) on the season while the Night Hawks fell to (4-11). The Golden Rams are now (5-0) at home this season.
In the 2
nd inning, the Golden Rams scored 2-runs when
Dominic Rutigliano hit a double to center field.
The Golden Rams scored a run in the 3
rd inning when
Hill Corley hit a double to center field.
Tucker Jordan's single to right field scored 2 more runs in the inning to give the Golden Rams a (5-0) lead.
The Night Hawks scored 6 runs in the Top of the 6
th inning to close the gap to (7-6).
In the bottom of the 8
th inning,
Jonathan Logsdon hit a triple that scored
Luke Addison to give the Golden Rams a (10-6) lead that they wouldn't relinquish.
Calvin Baker earned the win for the Golden Rams. Baker pitched 5 innings and allowed 5 hits while giving up 2 runs.
