The Albany State women and men's basketball teams closed out their regular seasons by splitting with the Edward Waters Tigers on Monday evening in front of a packed crowd at The Jones Brothers Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex.
In game 1, the Golden Rams women's team improved to (8-17) overall and (6-13) in the
SIAC after defeating the Tigers (50-41). It was the Golden Rams second time defeating the Tigers this season. With the loss, the Tigers fell to (10-15) overall and (6-13) in the
SIAC.
Unique Miller led the Golden Rams with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Chelsea Hill contributed with 12 points. Khadijah Smith led the Tigers with 14 points.
In the men's game, the Tigers won a thriller (74-72). With the loss, the Golden Rams are now (8-19) overall and (8-13) in the
SIAC. The Tigers improved to (6-20) overall and (5-16) in the
SIAC.
Malik Parker led the Golden Rams with 20 points in his final home game at Albany State.
Maurice Dickson contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Tavares Oliver led the Tigers with 24 points while Larry Kuimi finished with 15 points.
