The Albany State Golden Rams softball team will participate in the SIAC/ CIAA Softball Challenge on February 18-19, in Orangeburg, South Carolina.  The Golden Rams are scheduled to play 5-games in 2 days.
 
The Golden Rams will play Bluefield State at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 18.  The Golden Rams will also play Virginia State at 12:00 noon on Saturday.  At 4:00 pm, the Golden Rams will play Bowie State.
 
On Sunday, February 19, the Golden Rams will play Livingstone at 10:00 am. The Golden Rams will play their fifth and final game at 2:00 pm against Shaw.  
 
The Golden Rams team features all-conference and all-tournament team selection in starting pitcher Trista Murphy who finished with an ERA of 2.87 in 75.2 innings last season leading her team to a third-place finish in last year's conference tournament.  Among the list of other talented players for ASU are outfielders Kady Ayers and Glory Seay and pitcher Romona McLeod.
