The Albany State Golden Rams softball team earned two, hard fought victories (8-4) and (4-3) over the Savannah State Tigers on Sunday afternoon at the ASU West Campus. The Golden Rams improved to 21-3 while the Tigers fell to 3-11 overall.
In game #1, the Golden Rams scored 8 runs on 8 hits against the Tigers. Madison Hurt had 3 hits for the Golden Rams. Hurt also scored 2 runs.
Mackenzie Chamblee was the winning pitcher for the Golden Rams. Chamblee is now 8-1 overall on the season.
In game #2, Madison Hurt scored the winning run when Morgan Brown singled to right field in the bottom of the 7
th inning. Trista Murphy got the win for the Golden Rams. Murphy is 4-0 on the season.
The Golden Rams will host the Savannah State Tigers in their final game of the series at 1:00 pm on the ASU West Campus on Monday, March 21.
