The Albany State Golden Rams men and women earned a split against LeMoyne-Owen College on Monday evening at The Jones Brothers Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex on the ASU East Campus. The Golden Rams women defeated the Lady Magicians (52-47) while the men lost (66-60) to the Magicians.
With the win, the Golden Rams women's team improved to (4-5) overall and (2-2) in the SIAC. The Golden Rams men fell to (2-7) overall and (2-2) in the SIAC.
The Lady Magicians are now (2-6) overall and (1-3) in the SIAC while the men improved to (8-2) overall and (3-1) in the SIAC.
Kayla Milner led the Golden Rams with 11 points and 3 rebounds.
Kashay Hankerson contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Kamryn Knight led the Magicians with 14 points and 9 rebounds while Nairobi Lewis contributed with 10 points.
The Albany State men were led by
Maurice Dickson and
Jaleel Simmons. Both players scored 13 points. Dickson also pulled down 7 rebounds.
Terin Wofford contributed with 12 points. Andrew Anderson led the Magicians with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Tariq Shepherd finished with 15 points and 7 rebounds while Micah Evans contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds.
