The Golden Rams lost their home opener (78-57) to the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes on Tuesday evening at The Jones Brothers Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex on the ASU East Campus.
With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (0-5) overall this season. The Hurricanes improved to (4-1) overall.
The Hurricanes led (39-25) at the half and never looked back as they outscored the Golden Rams (39-32) in the 2
nd period to cruise to a 21-point victory. Jarrett Adderton led the Hurricanes with 28 points. Adderton connected on (5) three pointers in the game. Devon Higgs scored 18 points for the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes shot 31/47 (65.9%) from the field. The Hurricanes made 11/15 (73.3%) from the 3-point line. From the free throw line, the Hurricanes made 5/9 (55.5%) attempts in the game.
The Golden Rams were led by Travis Baker, who scored 12 points. Baker made (4) three pointers for the Golden Rams. Terin Wofford also scored 12 points for the Golden Rams. Reggie James chipped in with 10 points.
As a team, the Golden Rams shot 19/44 (43.1%) from the field in the game. The Golden Rams connected on 11/21 (52.3%) from the 3-point line. The Golden Rams also made 8/14 (57.1%) attempts from the free throw line in the game.
