ATLANTA, Ga. (July 29, 2019) – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announces the 2021 SIAC Football Predicted Order of Finish and the Preseason All-SIAC Team.
 
After the Golden Rams claimed the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Eastern Division title and finished with a 7-4 overall record, 5-1 in the SIAC, under the leadership of ASU's head coach Gabe Giardina. 

For the 2021 season, the Golden Rams of Albany State University have been selected as the predicted to finish second in the Eastern Division. Meanwhile, the defending SIAC Champions the Golden Bears of Miles College have been selected to finish first in the Western Division. The Golden Bears finished 9-3 during the 2019 season with a 5-1 conference record.

Albany State University had five Golden Rams named to the first and second preseason teams including Miquail Harvey ( 1st Team Offensive Lineman) , Gabriel Ballinas (1st Team Kicker), Derik Davis (1st Team Defensive Lineman), Coemba Jones (1st Team Defensive Back) and KaTray Pringle (2nd Team Offensive Lineman).

Preseason Rankings
In the East Division, Savannah State is anticipated to capture the Eastern Division Championship title. Albany State University is selected to finish second in the East. The Wildcats of Fort Valley State University was selected to finish third. The Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College comes next with a fourth-place finish. Benedict was voted ahead of Clark Atlanta selected to finish fifth and sixth. Edward Waters and Allen University was picked to finish seventh and eighth both newest members to round out the eastern division.
 
In the West Division, defending SIAC Champions, Miles, is anticipated to top the west. Tuskegee was picked to finish second leading Kentucky State with three first place. Central State and Lane round out the western division.
