ALBANY, Ga. – Albany State University Director of Athletics
Dr. Kristene Kelly has announced the promotion of
Alisia Taylor to Coordinator of Athletics Administration, effective immediately.
Taylor joined Albany State University in 2022 and has since become an important part of the Athletics Department's daily operations. Over the past four years, she has worked tirelessly to bring greater organization and consistency to the department while supporting the needs of coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
As the department has grown, so have Taylor's responsibilities. In addition to her administrative duties, she has taken on a larger role in coordinating ticketing operations, Quarterback Club administration, financial documentation, and other functions essential to the department's operations. Her ability to manage multiple priorities, work across campus, and adjust to the demands of collegiate athletics has made her a valuable member of the team.
"Some of the most valuable people in an organization are not always the most visible, but their impact is felt in everything we do," said Kelly. "Alisia is one of those people. She brings a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and a genuine sense of pride in the work she does. What I appreciate most is that she doesn't just focus on completing a task; she looks for ways to make things better. She has embraced additional responsibilities, demonstrated her ability to grow with the needs of our department, and consistently shown that she is capable of more. This promotion is a reflection of her qualifications, her contributions, and the confidence I have in her continued growth and leadership."
In her new role, Taylor will continue to oversee key administrative functions while taking on additional responsibilities that support the overall operations of the department. She will continue to report directly to Kelly.
Taylor holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management and an associate degree in Business Administrative Technology from the University of Phoenix. She also earned diplomas in Business Administrative Technology and Early Childhood Education from Albany Technical College. Her professional credentials include certifications in Nonprofit Finance and Accounting, Advanced Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks.
