ALBANY, Ga. -The Albany State University softball team is set to open the 2020 season as they host the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern State University on February 8, 2020. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at the Golden Rams Softball Field which is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, Georgia 31705.

Need to Know
Albany State is coming off a 20-31 season in 2019, with a 16-2 record in SIAC play to finish first in the Eastern Division standings. The Golden Rams made it to the third round of the 2019 SIAC Softball Championship falling 11-3 to the Dragons of Lane College on May 3, 2019.

Georgia Southwestern University enters the contest 2-2 on the season as they yielded a split decision to Lynn University (W: 7-6, L: 6-3) on February 1^st. The last the two team faced each other was last season where the Georgia Southwestern collected an 8-7 victory on April 1, 2019.
