ALBANY, Ga. (April 22, 2019) -The Albany State University softball team (16-27, 13-2 SIAC) will travel to face Valdosta State University in doubleheader action on April 23rd. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. All games will be played at VSU's Steel's Diamond at Blazer Park is located on Patterson Street, one mile north of the VSU main campus.

The Golden Rams enters the contest taking the series victory over Fort Valley State 11-3 and 2-0 at the Golden Rams Field on April 20th.

Valdosta State University (30-12, 13-10 GSC) enters the contest with collecting a 3-0 series victory over Christian Brothers on April 13-14th.

The two programs last met on April 2, 2019 where the Blazers secured a (1-8, 6-12) victory over the Golden Rams. The first of the series was played on February 13, 2012 where the Golden Rams suffered a 0-21 loss.
