Baseball Falls to the University of Tampa, 15-5

ALBANY, Ga. (March 8, 2019) – The Albany State University baseball team suffered a tough 15-5 loss to the University of Tampa tonight at the Golden Rams Field.

The Golden Rams gave up one run in the top of the first, but ASU answered immediately with one runs in the bottom half, highlighted by a Kyle Walker who singled to center field bringing Avery Roth across home plate.

The University of Tampa went on to score multiple runs in the third, fourth, sixth and seventh innings while putting up single runs in the second and eighth innings en route to the win.

NOTES
- Kevin Bryant II went 3-for-3 at the plate with one run scored and one RBI.

- Roman Oliu pitched six innings while striking out two. He gave up just eight run off 11 hits.

NEXT UP
The Golden Rams will return action on Saturday, March 9th in doubleheader action against the University of Tampa. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
