ALBANY, Ga. (March 20, 2019)– The Albany State University Baseball team yielded a 0-3 decision to the Cougar of Columbus State University on Wednesday afternoon.

Tyler Cadenhead picked up his third win of the season tossing 7.0 innings and striking out two. On the mound for the Golden Rams was
Brock Rountree who pitched 4.0 innings allowing one hit, one run, one error, three walks and one strikeout.
Jordan Griffin tossed 3.0 innings and struck out one.
Tyler Berry pitched 1.0 innings walking two and allowing one hit.
Cody Chapman finished on the mound for ASU allowing one hit, one run and struck out one.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game: Albany State 0, Columbus State 3
Columbus State jumped on the board with one run in the top of the second inning.
The Golden Rams were able to get two on base in the bottom of the sixth inning but was turned away.
Johnathan Cirullo opened the inning hit a fly ball out to center field.
Ernis Reyes grounded out to the short stop.
Chasen Roulhac singled to left field.
Kevin Bryant II singled to shortstop. Kevin Walker grounded out to the second baseman which ended the rally.
The Cougars tacked on an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth and ninth to take a 3-0 victory. McDade picked up the final hit for CSU in the final innings.
What's Next?
The Golden Rams will host a four-game series against the Panthers of Clark Atlanta University on March 22-23. The first game is slated for 4 p.m. The Golden Rams will return on Saturday with first pitch slated for 1 p.m.
