ALBANY, Ga. | The Albany State baseball team began a 3-game series with Emmanuel College on Friday night at Golden Rams Field at West Campus.
ASU carried a one run lead into the 9th inning, but was unable to close out the game, surrendering three runs on four hits.
A RBI double to left by Quantico Dodson-Williams in the bottom of the 9th brought the Golden Rams back to within one, but ASU failed to bring Dodson-Williams in from scoring position, falling 7-6.
Ernis Reyes finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Travis Ray Jr. was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Blaylor Galice (0-1) took the loss for the Golden Rams. Galice worked 3.0 innings, giving up four runs on four hits while striking out four batters.
Albany State (2-2) continues their series with Emmanuel on Saturday, February 9th, with a single game beginning at 2:00 pm.
