ALBANY, Ga. | The Albany State baseball team concluded their weekend series with Emmanuel College on Sunday.
The Golden Rams avoided the sweep by taking the final game, 5-1.
After falling behind 1-0 in the 3rd inning, ASU loaded the bases in the home half and Kevin Bryant II connected with a grand slam over the right field wall to put the hosts ahead for good.
Bryant II finished 2-for-4 with four RBI. Kyle Walker went 2-for-4 and Gavin Sloan was 2-for-2 and earned a walk.
Malik Barrington (2-0) picked up the win after going 8.0 innings, striking out eight, and giving up one run.
Chasen Roulhac pitched a perfect 9th for ASU to close out the game.
Albany State (3-3) travels to Valdosta State on Wednesday, February 13th. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
