ALBANY, Ga. | Kentucky State made the first basket of the night 11 seconds into the game. It would be the only time the Thorobreds saw the lead as Albany State rolled over their SIAC foe, 86-53.
Albany State (3-4, 2-0) led in every major scoring category other than second chance points. The Golden Rams bench outscored KSU 42-8. ASU shot 55 percent from the field including 45 percent from long range.
Randy McClure paced the ASU attack, scoring 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting (3-of-4 3PT) while also collecting six rebounds. Jared Harrington added 16 points and six rebounds. Jonathan Henderson scored 12 points and Antoine Gresham netted 11 points.Â
Kevin Hayes scored 13 points for Kentucky State (3-3, 2-1).
Albany State next plays on Thursday, November 29th, when they travel to Columbus State for a matchup with the Cougars. Game time is set for 7:30 pm.Â
