ALBANY, Ga. | Albany State took part in day two of the SIAC-GSC Challenge as they hosted the University of West Florida. The Argonauts used a 13-2 run midway through the second half to pull away and held on for a 63-59 victory over the Golden Rams.

The two teams were virtually even in every major statistical category, other than turnovers, fouls and free throws. Albany State committed 14 turnovers while West Florida turned it over only six times.

UWF took advantage of 24 ASU fouls to convert on 19 free throw attempts compared to only six made free throws by the Golden Rams on 13 Argonaut fouls.

Albany State (0-2) was 22-of-53 from the field (42%).
Jared Harrington led the way for the Golden Rams with 21 points.
Jonathan Henderson (13 points) and
Randy McClure (11 points) scored in double-figures while
Napoleon Harris had 12 rebounds.

Henri Ventoniemi had a game-high 23 points for West Florida (2-0).

Albany State returns to action on Thursday, November 15
th, when they travel to Valdosta to take on the Blazers of Valdosta State University in a rematch of the opening game of the season. VSU won the first meeting, 78-72. Game time is set for 7:30 pm.
