Lady Golden Rams Still Searching for First Win of the Season

ALBANY- The Albany State University soccer team suffered a 8-0 shutout at the hands of Clayton State University Saturday night at West Campus Soccer Field.
After an almost two hour delay due to lightning, the game began at approximately 8:52. The Lady Golden Rams, still searching for their first win in the history of the program, had 8 shots on goal in the contest. The Lakers had 35 shots at the goal including 22 which came in the second half.
Janne Brouer scored the first goal on a penalty kick just 2:48 into the game. Andrea Rodriguez and Manoly Baquerizo added scores at 31:58 and 35:18 to give Clayton State a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Rodriguez also finished the game with two assists, one to Baquerizo and the other to Skyler Young at the 80:05 mark. Clayton State raises their record to 4-6 on the season.
Abby Whiteside had 11 saves in the game while
Jenna Wade and Leticia Cupilille each put up three shots on goal.
Albany State will return to action on Monday, October 16
