Golden Rams ousted by Georgia College

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- The Albany State Golden Rams had trouble generating offense at the plate on Friday. Their cold bats resulted in an 11-0 loss to the Georgia College Bobcats in the first game of a three-game series. With the loss, ASU is now 0-7 overall, while GC wins its first game of the season.
 
Albany State fell behind early and could not match Georgia College's offensive output. The Bobcats used the first three innings to build a 4-0 lead. Four more runs in the bottoms of the fifth innings and three in the bottom of eighth added to the advantage.
 
Jonatan Galan recorded the lone hit for Albany State, while GC collected 15 total. John Paul Barnard was credited with the mound loss.
 
The Golden Rams will face Georgia College on Saturday, Feb. 13 in the second game of the series. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
