Lady Rams Softball swept by Nova Southeastern

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida- The Albany State Lady Rams could not snap their losing streak in a trip to south Florida. The Lady Rams were swept in a doubleheader by the Nova Southeastern Lady Sharks by the scores of 5-0 and 4-1. With the pair of losses, ASU falls to 9-15 overall. Nova improves to 13-15.
 
Game 1: Nova Southeastern 5, Albany State 0
 
Two hits coupled with Lady Ram errors helped Nova take a 4-0 lead after the first inning. The Lady Sharks didn't score another run until the fourth inning, but ASU could never get its bats swinging to make a run at their hosts.
 
Malea Maye secured the only hit for Albany State for the game. The team also committed five costly errors. Alexa Lopez was the losing pitcher.
 
 
Game 2: Nova Southeastern 4, Albany State 1
 
Maye and Demeshia Russell each collected two hits for the Lady Rams. Russell also took the mound loss. ASU had seven hits as a team and committed one error.
 
Albany State returns to action on March 25 when they travel to Winter Park, Florida to face the Rollins College Lady Tars. The doubleheader is scheduled for 5 and 7 p.m.
