Lady Rams fall to arch-rival in SIAC Tournament second round

Fort Valley State 8, Albany State 7

Five different Lady Rams hit homeruns during the first five innings to help spark a 6-1 lead through the first five innings. However, FVSU took advantage of timely hitting and two Albany State errors to take a 7-6 lead into the seventh inning. The Lady Wildcats added another run in the top of the seventh to expand their lead to 8-6. In the bottom of the seventh, Chaconna Marks hit a single that scored Adrienne Morris, but the Lady Rams could not score any more runs to pull out the victory.

Domonique Bryant, Ambrionna Atkism, Chelsea Hicks, Kandis Banks and Vanessa Jones all hit homeruns for the Lady Rams. Jones also added two RBIs. Lopez, who entered the tournament undefeated in SIAC play, took the mound loss.
