Jarrett Mathis

Jarrett Mathis is in his fourth year as an assistant coach with the ASU Men’s Basketball program.  Mathis assists with practice and game coaching, perimeter player development and video coordinating. 

A former Golden Ram known for his pure perimeter shooting and tenacious defense, Mathis was a four-year starter for the ASU Men’s Basketball program from 2003-2007.  Mathis averaged 8.5 points per game during his tenure, with a career-high average of 12.2 during the 2004-2005 season.  Also during the 2004-2005 season, he helped lead the Golden Rams to the 2005 SIAC Regular Season Championship and the SIAC Championship game against Lane College.  In 2007, he was a key component in leading the Golden Rams to the SIAC Championship, hitting a key three-pointer in the final moments to defeat Fort Valley State University 54-50 in the championship game.

An Atlanta, Georgia native, Mathis received his Bachelor's degree in computer science from Albany State University in May 2011. 

He is the son of Antionette Lyons and Larry Mathis and the father of two-year old Jace Mathis.
