Terell Sims

Terell Sims, has been named the wide receivers coach at Albany State University in February 2024. Sims joins ASU from Howard Payne University (2023-24) where his wide receivers contributed to the team's ranking as the top offense in their conference, and number two passing in the nation. Sims has built a commendable coaching career, with a focus on wide receivers and athlete development. His journey began at Florida International University (2014-16), where he served as a graduate coaching assistant, laying the foundation for his coaching philosophy. At Florida A&M University (2016-17), he honed his skills further as a wide receiver coach assistant. Sims's ability to elevate player performance became evident during his tenure at King High School (2017-19) as an offensive coordinator, where he implemented strategic game plans and developed a robust scouting report system. 
 
His collegiate coaching career includes impactful roles at Virginia State University (2019-20), Eastern Illinois University (2020-21), Valdosta State University (2021-22), and Sul Ross State University (2022-23), where his teams achieved notable offensive rankings and produced All-Conference wide receivers.  
 
After completing his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and Recreation at Florida International University in May 2016, Sims furthered his education with a Master of Business Administration from Saint Leo University in October 2020.
