Demetrie McCray is in his fourth seasons an assistant defensive backs coach with the Golden Rams. A former Golden Rams stellar athlete, McCray played four seasons as a cornerback on the Rams' "Dirty Blue" defense from 2002 until 2005.

The Thomasville, Ga. native recorded 160 career tackles (86 solos) and 56 pass breakups. He also had 13 interceptions for 128 yards and one touchdown. He was named ASU's Best Defensive Back in 2005.

After his collegiate career with the Golden Rams, McCray played several seasons in the Arena Football League with the Austin Wranglers and the South Georgia Wildcats.

During his career, he received several awards, including the JLS Ironman Award.
